Join us this Sunday 1st February for a special service at Holy Trinity at 10:30am. Bishop David of Truro will be preaching and commissioning Anna Friends who’ve recently completed their training.
We’ll be staying on after the service for time together and a bring-&-share lunch.
Please bring along some food to share, if you’re able to, and we’ll provide hot drinks.
Everyone is welcome.
Anna Chaplaincy:
Offering Spiritual Care in Later Life
Anna Chaplains are named after the widow, Anna, who appears with Simeon in Luke’s gospel; both are good role models of faithful older people. Anna Chaplains are there for people of strong, little or no faith at all.
Anna Chaplains offer spiritual support to older people who are living in care homes and sheltered housing complexes, their relatives and staff who look after them.
They promote the spiritual welfare of older people in the wider community, particularly those facing challenges living independently.
Jane Wingrove is St Austell Parish’s commissioned Anna Chaplain.
